Heading into the second round of the season, one priority topped the list – to finish the race to collect some points. After Daytona, the eEuroparts.com crew spent countless hours practicing tire changes, full pit stops and boy did it show.

The weekend started off with a promoter test day giving the duo a chance to shake down their freshly recovered car. At the start of the official weekend, things were quite right with their setup so the #2 team focused as much of their attention as they could on finding that sweet spot heading into qualifying. For this race, their strategy was shaken up a bit and Cooke headed out for his first qualifying run in over two years! As he does best, Cooke headed out and put down a P5 lap – this already was a huge improvement from the first round.

Saddled up and ready to go, Cooke began his stint off strong. He ran as high as P3 and consistently hunted down the next position. After a scorching hour and twenty minutes, Cooke brought the car in P5 for a full pit stop and driver change. Using this golden strategy, Koch went into the last 35 minutes of the race on fresh tires. Ultimately, he ended up bringing the car home in P8. They could only go up from Daytona and finishing in the top-ten was a good start to getting back into the points battle.

A huge thanks goes out to the eEuroparts.com crew – their hard work and dedication shone through this weekend with their flawless pit stops and hustling attitudes.  A huge thanks also goes out to ROWE Motor Oil USA and OMP Racing for taking the time to attend the race as well as to the other partners who make this all possible for the drivers and team.
