WATKINS GLEN, New York (June 20, 2023) – Valkyrie Velocity returns to Watkins Glen International this weekend with the team’s full focus on the IMSA paddock, running a two-car effort this weekend in Lamborghini Super Trofeo.

Season-long drivers Raymond Davoudi and Dominic Starkweather return, with Starkweather joined by Lamborghini GT3 Junior Driver Tyler Cooke. Davoudi will drive the No. 11 El Chingon Bad Ass Mexican Restaurant Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo2 in LB Cup, while Starkweather will step away from the Am class this weekend to co-drive the No. 12 Daxxon Gray Motorsports/Beacon Building Products Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo2 with Cooke in the Pro class of the championship. Both cars are supported by Lamborghini Austin, located near the headquarters of Valkyrie AI.

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo weekend technically begins mid-week on Thursday, June 22 with a pair of practice sessions leading into Friday morning’s qualifying. Super Trofeo races are 50 minutes in length, with the first at 2:25 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon and the second at 11:10 a.m. on Saturday. Races can be seen live on IMSA.tv, with delayed coverage on CNBC on July 2. Past Lamborghini Super Trofeo races can also be streamed live on Peacock.

Dominic Starkweather, Driver, No. 12 Lamborghini Huracan: “I couldn’t be more ready to get back in the car. I feel really good physically and mentally. Watkins Glen is my favorite track, I love the speed and the risk factor. Laguna was a great experience, and I couldn’t have asked for more with a podium at my first IMSA event. It’s just a privilege to be in this paddock. The Lamborghini Huracan is a lot of car. It’s a lot different than the GT4 cars that I’m used to but I couldn’t be happier driving it. Last year we were so close to a podium in GT4, so I feel pretty good about my chances to get up to speed and find success. With Tyler behind the wheel with me, I think we can do big things and hopefully that gets us on the box, even with the step up in class.”

Tyler Cooke, Driver, No. 12 Lamborghini Huracan: “Race week is awesome. Your heart starts pumping a little bit more, your adrenaline starts kicking in. It’s an awesome feeling. I’ve been training a ton, I go to Pit Fit in Charlotte and its based around making sure drivers can perform at their max. So even though I really haven’t been in a seat this season, I’ve been training non stop and making sure I’m physically and mentally there. I’m excited to get back in the car, and I’m ready to go. Watkins Glen is one of my favorite places. I feel like it separates the boys from the men, because it’s such a fast, daring track. I think Dominic and I can do really well there. At that time of year, it’s flooded with race fans. It’s a stunning, beautiful area. It’s one of my favorite tracks to go to. The racing is always good.”
